Important: Emio is a contraction timing tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider with any concerns about your pregnancy or labour.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Emio ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Emio is a personal contraction timing application designed to help expectant parents track the frequency and duration of contractions during labour. The App allows you to:
- Record and time contractions
- View charts and patterns of contraction data
- Store contraction history securely in the cloud
- Set emergency contacts for quick access
3. Medical Disclaimer
Emio is not a medical device. The information provided by the App is for informational and organisational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You should always:
- Consult your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider for medical guidance
- Follow the advice of your healthcare team regarding when to go to hospital
- Call emergency services if you believe you or your baby are in danger
4. Account and Data
You may create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or an email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Your contraction data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Emio only for its intended purpose. You may not:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the App
- Use the App in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the service
- Access another user's account without their permission
6. Availability and Updates
We strive to keep Emio available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Good Design Practice Ltd (the maker of Emio) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on contraction timing data during labour.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
